Karl Marx’s Worst Anti-Semitic Takes
Happy Hanukkah, everyone! In the spirit of the holidays, I’ve been doing some research into the most anti-semitic leaders of the socialist left throughout history. I’ve heard before that Karl Marx hated jews, but I was SHOCKED to find out just how hateful and disgusting his takes on Judaism and the Jewish people were.
Here are FOUR anti-semitic things Karl Marx has said that you need to know:
- In his book “On The Jewish Question,” Karl Marx wrote:
- “What is the Worldly Culture of the Jew? Huckstering. What is his worldly God? Money… Money is the jealous God of Israel, beside which no other God may exist.”
2. In that same book, Marx wrote: “As soon as society succeeds in abolishing the empirical essence of Judaism – huckstering and its conditions- the Jew becomes impossible because his consciousness no longer has an object… The social emancipation of the Jew is the emancipation of society from Judaism.”
3. In his book “Das Kapital,” Karl Marx said “malicious capitalists” “however scurvy they may look, or how bad that they smell, are in faith and in money, inwardly circumcised Jews…”
4. And last, he also made many personal attacks on individual jews. This includes the time he asked a Jewish publisher why he would change his name to a less-Jewish name if “Mother Nature has inscribed his origins in the clearest possible way right in the middle of his face” and later saying the man’s nose provides a conversation throughout the year in the City of London.
Yes, that’s the hero of the progressive left, Karl Marx, everybody.
